People take drugs for a variety of reasons – curiosity, peer pressure, entertainment, boredom. People want to experience that first pleasurable high over and over again. However that first pleasure is soon lost and replaced with anger, depression and anxiety. Where can you turn?
The Noupoort Christian Care Centre provides substance abusers with education help in overcoming their addictions. They teach and develop life skills, discipline and routine by involving the recovering addicts in a housing routine and everyday situations.
The Farm is the first project after orientation that the male residents are part of, while the female residents are involved in the kitchen. Doing physical work and working in an outdoor environment is vital in the recovery of addicts.
It is their responsibility to ensure that all the animals on the farm are fed and well cared for and to work in the vegetable gardens. The farm serves two purposes: One being to support the centre with what is necessary to feed the residents and the staff, the second being for spiritual upliftment of the residents, giving them time to see God in nature.

Greetings from Cape Town.I have come across your center on the Website and I think that you will be able to assist my Nephew whois 25 years old and are raised by a single parent , who cannot afford any fees to pay for her child’s rehabilitation .We have tried everything but to no avail. But one thing we are still doing is to continue to pray for him. Thus we request that you open your heart to assist my Nephew in this regard, as he is willing to surrender to rehabilitation and also to do work around the center in return for his Rehabilitation fees.

Good day all,
I am in such extreme need for help with my 37 year old daughter. She has been an on/off addict for the past 17 years. I raised her 16 year old son since he was 4. She is now married and has a little girl who is 1 year old. I am now taking care of her as well. My daughter’s husband is an abusive person both physically and mentally and she is using Tik more and more, which he supplied and may still be supplying. She does not work, he has a job of some sorts but does not assist me with creche fees, nappies or formula, which I do not really mind, if the two of them were clean. My daughter is in an out of hospital due to abuse, she has an interdict against him, but keeps going back to him as I think he is her enabler. I have just suffered a heart attack and need to urgently get her back on track so that if anything should happen to me, she will be able to take care of her baby. I cannot sleep at night worrying what would happen to my grand children should I not be there. Please open your heart to her and help me. I need to get her away from this man and on the way to health. I am truly begging to give my child a chance at normalcy – Kindest regards,

I am at my wits end with my 23 year old heroin addict son. At the moment I have given him two choices – either he dies or I do! Please can you assist with details for your centre (he has been to rhab 3 times already)

My son is 24, just come out of rehab for the second time. He went to rehab very positively, really wanting to quit, as he stood the chance of losing his job. His job is very important to him. But he relapsed and is in denial. I’ve been praying and praying; feel sooo helpless.
