Tharagay House is the oldest and most experienced secondary care treatment facility in Cape Town and specialises in the treatment of drug addiction, alcoholism, anorexia, bulimia and compulsive overeating.
It was established 7 years ago and was named in memory of a young woman who died from her addiction. Because their approach is holistic, they also meet the needs of subsidiary addictions like gambling and sex addiction.
They have created an environment which simulates life and where clients can practice healthy ways of dealing with their feelings and experiences, and they have a proven recovery track record.
