H.E.A.L. (Healing and Educating Addicted Lives) offers a unique and dynamic after-care support group for the care of both recovering addicts and their loved ones.

H.E.A.L. Support Groups focus on family unity by educating both the recovering addicts and their loved ones on the principles of recovery from addiction. By working with both supporters and recovering addicts the groups ensure that:

• the “family” unit is working together
• by trying to achieve the same goals
• with the same techniques.

H.E.A.L. Support Groups currently have four support groups around Gauteng, with each group meeting once a week.

The H.E.A.L. support groups:

• work with loved ones while the addict is in treatment,
• helping with interventions
• and offering advice on treatment plans depending on the individual circumstances.

H.E.A.L. assists throughout the process of recovery:

• from getting the addict and their loved ones into recovery
• to supporting them through the journey of recovery.
