The Harmony Eating Disorder programme at this clinic is run in a loving and nurturing environment. Harmony Addictions Clinic is dedicated to a culture of recovery for addicts and all those who are affected by addictions.
Given that some clients are unable to commit to an inpatient programme, they offer a service whereby clients may join the Primary Care Programme but on a day patient basis which means they can live at home while enjoying the full benefits of an inpatient programme.
They treat individuals suffering from eating disorders in a supportive environment. They offer the 12 step program as its model where abstinence from starving, bingeing, purging and overeating will be a pre-requisite.The primary care program runs from 6 weeks to 3 months, depending on the clients needs.
Meals are designed by the dieticians, where correct nutrition is essential. There will also be counselling, group therapy, movement classes, art therapy, meditation groups, step work, didactic lectures, nutrition and addiction education.

Their beautiful warm and homely setting, just 700 meters from the sea front, is perfect for healing to take place. They have stunning views of the Outeniqua and Tsitsikama mountains. Their Primary Care Centre is where they start with a detoxification programme and then settle patients into their new environment.
The Primary Care Centres cares for 2 patients, enabling them to provide individualised treatment of the very best quality.
The bedrooms are laid out in a comforting way, ensuring privacy and a sense of safety. Most of the bedrooms are on suite. Within 24 hours of arriving, clients will be seen by the medical team, including both the doctor as well as registered nurse.
A detoxification regime is set out for each individual client.
The therapeutic process begins immediately with the counsellor assisting the client in working the 12 step programme. Clients spend approximately 6 weeks in primary care during which time they will complete steps 1 through to 5.Throughout their stay in primary care clients are encouraged to focus on the consequences of their addiction and to begin to face the reality of their lives.
During primary care clients are introduced to NA and AA meetings and attend 3 per week. There is 24 hour care in primary care.
