Trauma centre | CIC Community Intervention Centre | Milnerton

They run on a non-profit basis and are registered with the Department of Welfare. They work in full co-operation with the South African Police service and Milnerton Medi-Clinic and Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital.

They are dedicated to providing hope & support for all men, women and children in crisis situations, to stabilise them emotionally, spiritually and psychologically. Their aim is to empower all people and their families within the community.

Their valuable services -

  • they provide a free 24-hour trauma or crisis intervention service
  • they deal with rape, murder, suicide, family crisis, child abuse, HIV & aids issues, domestic violence, armed robberies, violent crimes, substance abuse etc
  • emergency safehouse facilities for women & children
  • they provide support throughout the immediate traumatic event
  • they assist with any immediate actions that need to be taken
  • they refer you to whatever resources are available for further support

Their main task is to empower you to cope with the crisis at hand. They have specialist services teams on hand to assist with traumatic disasters.
