They are a registered treatment Centre which provides detox facilities, an in-patient program, after-care services and help for people with an alcohol, medication and drug dependency problem. Persons of both sexes, all nationalities between the ages of 18 and 65 are accommodated.

Seascape Recovery House offers counselling, coaching and support to addicts in recovery as well as a sense of community to addicts who have completed primary or secondary treatment.
They encourage residents to seek work, continue existing employment and start re-entering society. They provide their clients with a safe environment in which to continue with ongoing recovery.
With their addiction counsellors, they utilise the 12 Step recovery process to guide them in running the therapeutic community. Integrating into the 12 Step recovery community is a vital part of sustaining the journey of recovery.
Residents are required to attend a minimum of 4 recovery based 12 Step meetings per week as well as attend their relevant after-care groups.

Nieuwefontein Empowerment Centre is a faith based center situated in the Great Karoo where addicts, alcoholics, people with obsessive compulsive behaviour patterns, including gambling problems, can start a new life.
Nieuwefontein is a 3000 hectare working sheep farm with a variety of other animals and birdlife.
Their Primary care facility can accommodate up to 8 people, while the secondary care on the farm can accommodate up to 55 people. They incorporate different programme formats; each dealing with different aspects of the individual resulting in a holistic personalized treatment programme lasting six weeks.
The client will be assessed by their multidisciplinary team on their progress before they move on to the secondary care centre. They also implement a course called “Celebrate Recovery” which is a Christian 12 step program that comes from a pastor who wrote Purpose Driven Life. The course has had worldwide success.
The courses are presented in group sessions as well as individual sessions.The individual counselling takes the form of:
- problem solving
- goal setting
- directional therapy
- motivational counselling
- task allocation
- strengths/weaknesses
- journaling
- leadership
