SANCA Horizon Alcohol and Drug Centre | Boksburg
The effects of taking drugs vary, depending on how they are used. SANCA Horizon Alcohol and Drug Centre are the only registered centre offering a specialised in-patient treatment programme for teenage boys and girls. They offer a 28 day in-patient program for adults with drug and medication addiction problems, and a 21 days programme for alcohol addiction. All their programmes are family centered.
Adolescent In-Patient Treatment Programmes:
- 4 – 6 weeks
- Adolescents between ages 14 – 18
- Alcohol and drug abuse
- The programme consists of group, individual, occupational and family therapy
- Gives introduction to support groups
- Out-patient programme
10 weeks

Their multi-disciplinary team consisting of social workers, nursing sisters, care workers, a consulting doctor, psychiatrist and clinical psychologist is involved in all programmes.

Friday it will be exactly 1 year since I walked through the doors of Horizon. One year later still sober and going good. I must thank all the personel and espesially the councillors for this aceivement. Keep up the good work. Without my 21 days there I would have been dead today because of my addiction. But thanks to your facility I am alive and is busy picking up the pieces and restoring my live. Going for 20 years and if still alive 50 years
I have a client that is abusing alcohol, and currently depressed (on anti depressants). He has acknowledged that he needs help, but does not have money to pay for treatment. Is it possible for Horizon clinic to assit him? He resides in Boksburg.

I have a cousin who is 23 years of age, he is a drug addict. He is taking heroin (hunga). We kindly request your assistance in a form of rehabilitation. He says he wants to quit but the challenge without professional help he cannot.

My husband is an alcoholic and his drinking is getting worse by the day. He has now realised that he is killing himself and breaking up our marriage and he has now asked me to help him get in a rehab / clinic. morning my daughter dannielle was at your facility december 2009.She has done great up until the beginning of this year but has fallen off.This is distressing to me and my wife,as when under the influence becomes agressive and she knows it all.What can you suggest we do ,we have no experience dealing with this kind of behavior.
