Grace Fellowship Family Church began in 1996 in Johannesburg; its fundamental aim being the strengthening of human beings through Christian principles and to help the lost youth of today, particularly those who struggle with addiction to drugs, alcohol, gambling and sexual relationships.

Grace Fellowship and Healing Wings work side by side in helping addicts. The two ministries continue to thrive, side by side.

Acacio Valadas-Vieira is the co-founder and director of a successful drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre located in Southern Mozambique. Healing Wings encompasses all aspects of recovery; a place where young men and women turning to substance abuse are granted the opportunity to turn away and develop normal responsible life skills.

Through a number of tailored therapies, the individual is given the opportunity to transform his/her lifestyle, habits and destructive thought patterns. Healing Wings can be described as a surrogate home rather than an  institution.

Two separate spiritual step-work programmes enable addicts to find wholeness and healing through an unhurried process of self-discovery, aimed at finding purpose in life. Meetings, groups, individual counselling, workshops and challenges are all intended to build confidence.Registered under the Health and Welfare Department of Mozambique, the Centre aims continually to enhance the lives of the communities surrounding the farm.
