Nieuwefontein Empowerment Centre is a faith based center situated in the Great Karoo where addicts, alcoholics, people with obsessive compulsive behaviour patterns, including gambling problems, can start a new life.

Nieuwefontein is a 3000 hectare working sheep farm with a variety of other animals and birdlife.

Their  Primary care facility can accommodate up to 8 people, while the secondary care on the farm can accommodate up to 55 people. They incorporate different programme formats; each dealing with different aspects of the individual resulting in a holistic personalized treatment programme lasting six weeks.

The client will be assessed by their multidisciplinary team on their progress before they move on to the secondary care centre. They also implement a course called “Celebrate Recovery” which is a Christian 12 step program that comes from a pastor who wrote Purpose Driven Life. The course has had worldwide success.

The courses are presented in group sessions as well as individual sessions.The individual counselling takes the form of:

• problem solving
• goal setting
• directional therapy
• motivational counselling
• task allocation
• strengths/weaknesses
• journaling
• leadership

   Pls contact me urgently…I am wanting to arrange and intervention for my 27yr old son Jonathan who has replapsed on heroin and also suffering from a bit of psychosis from too much dagga.
   If he does not co-operate I will be arranging a court order through a social worker.

   I recently found out that my daughter (24) is on drugs, don’t know which one yet, but will find out soon. She has lost a lot of weight, her job and accommodation. She desperately needs help.

   Please advise me of your fee and where you are situated. If you have a similar rehab centre close to Somerset West, please inform me.

   My sisters daugther is in urgent need for help. She is only 14 and is addicted to dagga and we found out last night that she has taken tuk and cat. She is currently under sedation in a hospital as she is very violant and is hurting herself. We have tried every possible avenue in JHB and have been walking into closed doors. Please can you help.
